AGM Feedback

The OWMHOA AGM was held on the Thursday 26th May 2022 at the Protea Valley Church. We were fortunate enough to have a quorum present and the meeting was therefore able to take place. Our chairman, Werner Greeff, presented his Chairman’s Report on Administration for May 2021 to May 2022, as well provided feedback on the OWMHOA Financials. Several resolutions were tabled, one of them been the election of our trustees for the following financial year.

We would like to thank all those who attended the AGM, and encourage you to read the reports and minutes of the meeting.

Footpaths Repaired!

Over the last few months, you may have seen that some of the tree roots in our parks had gone astray, causing the bricks of our paths to become uneven in some areas.

This was recently repaired, by lifting the bricks, removing the tree roots and relaying the bricks, allowing a safe and secure pathway for our users again.

We encourage our members to make use of and enjoy the parks safely and responsibly.

Riesling Park & Reed Clean Up

At the end of April, the City of Cape Town appointed a contractor to clean up and trim the trees and reeds at the Riesling Park dam area. Earlier in June, they also attended to the reeds closer towards Van Riebeekshof Road side. It is important that these clean up’s occur, not only for environmental reasons, but also to ensure our area is kept clean and presentable, deterring vagrants and other unwanted parties to be hiding in overgrown areas.
